In 1991 Maria completed a major commission for Harrods, Knitsbridge, London, creating the new Egyptian Hall, where bronze and glass combine with carved stone to such monumental effect that English Heritage have already placed a Preservation Order upon it, and honour usually reserved only for buildings and artworks of historical importance.
